Just downloaded the new Google Play Store.

Seems a backward step to me although it is more fluid.

Sorry to hijack the thread and interrupt was is obviously a very tense conversation  

but... I can't seem to find anything different with play store. Not sure if i have the latest one but its not showing in apps that it needs updating.

And resume hand bag fights

I'm guessing that in Googles usual fashion it will be getting rolled out country by country....

I found the APK on another website that I downloaded.

It's not rolling out in the UK as yet but I have heard of people clearing Data and Cache and when logging back into Play Store it has updated.

This hasn't worked for everyone though.

Yes please, is it stable enough?

Also, will it leave the old play store alone so i can revert if needs be? Got a horrible feeling tis all gonna go wrong

It's totally stable, and is what google will be updating to in the near future anyway. As with all Google Play updates it happens in the background without your knowledge anyway. This is just pre-empting the strike as it were to see what it is like

With regards to reverting back to the old play store. If you are rooted make a back up with Titanium Backup before you apply the update as it will 'overwrite' the old version.

As I mentioned it is a bit different but after a few days of using it I actually prefer it.
