Hi

My s2 in the last week has been turning off automatically even when i know the battery has sufficent life in it. Proir to the weekend it started shutting down during using apps like ebay, facebook. Have been able to turn it back on and all has been fine.......Until now,did it saturday morning and i havent been able to turn it on since. It is stuck bewtween showing the blue o2 screen and the black screen with the white samsung writing on it. It flicks between the two. Ive tried removing battery,re boot via info on the web and also trying to connect to Kies through pc,the phone is having none of it.

Now i can see a few posts below that it could be that i need a more powerfull battery could that be the only problem??

Any help or advice appreciated,im at my wits end without a decent phone!!!

I dont have phone insurance, and in contract until sept 13.

Thanks

Its just software conflicts. A factory reset usually fixes the issue and it can happen to any phone, not just the S2.

MI5 - a factory reset certainly didn't resolve this issue on either phone! I performed several factory resets. I had been told that ICS was possibly a cause and also a rogue app! Then again, how are you supposed to practically test which app it may be!

I had the same issue with my first s2 plus another issue, I got another s2 and it was fine until I started putting apps on. After keeping a diary over the last few weeks I am convinced it is the facebook app. Having removed that I have had no issues at all for near on a week,

There is always an exception wink The idea is you run the phone after a reset without any apps then add them one at a time so you know if it's an app giving issues. Also, you avoid known iffy apps. Read review on play and avoid battery/memory saving efforts etc....
