Hi problem with my GS2, started about a month ago randomly shutting off.
Now it's doing it more and more frequent, when I turn it back battery drops from almost full charge, to 20 - 30%?!
Does my battery, need replacing? Or is there something more sinister going on?
Phone is about 19 months, into 24 month contract, and gets a lot of use.
Thanks,
A.

If it is the battery, there is a last chance saloon option for you. I bought 2000mA model battery for mine and i don't even use my old battery now. What you can try doing is getting a performance test benchmark with built-in stress test which will push the handset and drain the battery.
When it gets to <1%, charge it from off until it's charged completely. Maybe leave it a bit longer and swap your SIM into another handset if you have one. Everytime a battery is recharged, the battery stats are reset so there is no need for a 3rd party for clearing that.
Even though, Lithium Polymer batteries don't need fully discharged all of the time it's a good idea to let them drain, so on any recharge all cells get boosted.
If this doesn't work then a new battery may be the answer. You can pick up official 2000mA batteries from Amazon, Play and all decent mobile vendors.
