Hi All,

Has anyone with a Pixel 2 XL received the February update yet?

There was an O2 UK specific variant of the January update but currently there is only the generic variant listed online: https://developers.google.com/android/images#taimen

Will there be an O2 variant? If not, why is the update not being delivered yet?

Regards,

Ian

@adrianbridgett

I have a Pixel 2 XL on O2 and received my March update 6 days ago. From the Pixel Community Boards I see that see that the update is still in the process of rolling out. I don't believe that O2 had any hand in this update.

Ah super - that's very interesting... I have the same phone and been kicking the update each day (which _apparently_ makes the google servers ignore the staged rollout (since you are specifically asking for it).

If it's definitely Google I need to speak to I'll go do that slight_smile

Hi all, can anyone confirm if the P2XL has 4G calling on o2? Live chat said yes! But I’m a little reluctant to believe them.
Or does anyone know if it’ll ever come to O2?
Thanks

@Cleoriff. I thought so.... However you can now use 4G calling on the S9+ using stock rom, both BTU and XEU. So I was hoping Google would follow suit 😏

More phones are getting added all the time and the website isn’t updated quick enough with the latest info.
If you get the phone and it doesn’t work, you can cancel under the 14 day returns policy if it’s a deal breaker for you.

@MI5 I’m already in contract with an IPhone 8 Plus, I have had the Pixel XL2 before on EE. Great phone, horrible network! I may just go for it, not having 4G calling isn’t the end of the world.

It certainly isn't.
Before long, 4g calling will be everywhere and on every phone anyway.
