When I arrived in an EU country from the UK, and when I cross any EU border, my SIM fails to reconnect. Roaming is on and I have the European bolt-on. If I deactivate/reactivate the SIM sometimes it works. Other times I have you Trevor the phone. I always get it back but it's a major pita. What is wrong?

I'd start with a new sim card.
Pop into any O2 shop and they will swap you to a new one free of charge.

Reboot. Trevor does not help.

Between 4 and 5 years. I joined to use TuGo and did so for a few months until it closed. Btw I have a dual SIM phone with Orange France in slot 2 which is fine including wi-fi calling. Primary calls and all data are on O2 though. Thanks for the discussion.

Excellent idea, thanks, I'll do that when I return to the UK. Will have to wait a while to be able to test the result though!

Yes, a typo. Didn't realise it mattered. Thanks.
