Buying a OnePlus 5...

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hey guys,

I want to buy a OnePlus 5 from O2, preferably unlocked. I have a nexus 6P to trade in and I'm a student. I want to get it in the midnight black, with the 128gb storage. Do you guys think that if I go into my local store, I'll be able to get a good deal on it? They say my Nexus is worth £120 so that takes it down to £380 (I think.) Does O2 do any student deals?

Cheers 👌

Does putting this O2-specific firmware for WiFi calling on a 5 or 5T make it be "locked"?

It should just be using the native wifi calling feature within android as per the Galaxy S8 and S8+
There is no need for any specific O2 firmware but a good point raised nonetheless.
Maybe @Chris_K could let us know ?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
