Hi All,

new version of Android Kitkat should roll out and will be available for couple new phones.

HTC One, S Galaxy S4, Nexus 4, 7 . and couple other. There wont be big changes, but should be faster and main thing save the battery. Does any one know more when we will get it?

Only available for unbranded handsets at the mo.

O2 still not released it.

Yes, I thought that as well. EL_Berto suggested that he had updated his O2 S4... Oh well, back to waiting.

I guess they mean an S4 using an O2 sim card. According to release data from Samsung, O2 is still on 4.3.

Just a quick update from me. I received my Vodafone SIM and was able to use the unlock code from o2 to unlock the phone.

Decided not to bother flashing BTU Firmware on my phone, the battery seems to have gotten drastically better! Lasts me from 6am to 11pm now with heavy usage! So not really in a hurry for the Kitkat update now slight_smile

That may imply that it's the o2 bloatware that may be causing battery drain?

Sorry guys, I may have confused you a little. I only used the Voda SIM in order to have the phone prompt me for the unlock code which I requested. I'm still using my o2 SIM card on my 4G o2 contract slight_smile

Unsure as to why it's gone better all of a sudden..very strange indeed! Seems to be lasting more than 6 hours loger than the first few days when I had the phone!
