Smarty (Three) to O2 - 5G Sims (no texts)

Good morning,

I've recently been delivered a new phone (Sony Xperia 10 V) through O2. On placing the order, I added the PAC code to transition from my existing network, Smarty (Three).

On arrival, I inserted my brand new 5G O2 sim and the transition to my old phone number was completed overnight. I can now make/receive calls on the new handset with the correct number.

Texting is however a different story. I can make outgoing texts on the new handet but cannot seem to find any way to receive them.

I've tried

- Disabling RCS chats

- Toggling wifi calling settings

- Turning the phone off for long periods

- Toggling network types to 4G

I've come across some articles this year where similar issues seem to be discussed but usually, the resolution tails off to need individual intervention from the tech teams. Any idea on the most efficient route to get this sorted?

Sometimes the port takes a little while to catch up on all fronts

If you re enable RCS does it register on the transferred number

Other than that

You will need to contact O2.

Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG

Or phone them on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract)

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
