Is there a way to check tariff upgrade options within myO2? I don't want a new phone, just move to a different tariff. When I click on See upgrade options (under "You can upgrade today") it shows me various offers but no other tariff options.

I was asking because some good deals only last for the specific contract length (eg, 12 months), after which there's a massive hike..

What you might want to do @One-two is to put a note in your diary to start researching new deals a couple of months before your contract ends. There are regulars on here who move contracts every twelve months, usually via Uswitch, and therefore avoid the "massive hikes" to which you refer. 👍

@One-two was actually referring to heavily discounted tariffs expiring after 12 months, not the annual price rise which everyone gets and which I'm sure everyone is aware of by now.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
