I have just received a text message - "FreeMsg: thank you for subscribing to Just4Life for £4.50 per week from Nexgen until you text STOP to 64055". Of course I have'nt made any subscription.
I have googled the phone number provided 02037403517 which states the money is taken from your account and only my service provider can block it. I have checked by bank and so far no money has been taken. How can I ensure no money is taken without my consent?

@WendyS @JoninHants I have today received the same message. I also have not 'Sent STOP' to 64055. Did either of you get charged? I have followed the links kindly provided by @MI5 but I cannot find a clear solution/answer. If I do nothing, will I get charged?

@JPRParish sending stop should prevent any further charges but maybe not the first weeks charges which have likely already been billed.

To those who have been scammed, please check the links in the posts by other members.
Also contact customer services by phone [not Chat] and ask them to Bar all Direct to Bill Debits on your account, so should the third-party company attempt to take money from your account, this will be stopped.

Some online sources say that sending the STOP text will cost around the price of a standard text but from personal experience when my wife was scammed, the text merely gave them license to charge another premium charge on the returned confirmation text. This was 10 years ago so I don't know whether this further scam is still occurring?
