Hello, it's the first time I've had a contract phone so when I got an email through saying how much my bill was I just paid it straight away. I then viewed my details etc. and it says I have a direct debit set up and they'll take the money out near or on the 19th. Will they still do this even if I have paid?

No they should only take payment for what's due. If you want to be sure call 202 free and confirm with them but you have paid well before and your account will be updated before the direct debit is due to be claimed.

Possibly, that's why you set up the direct debit when you signed up.
You could ask the bank to stop the payment and then start it again.
