I'm interested in swapping my long time pay monthly unlimited tariff for the one below as it's cheaper.

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/package-options?

However I'm a little miffed that new virgin customers can just jump on board and get double the data.

I've been an O2 customer for many many years, how is this fair?

Are there any loyalty discounts for long term customers?

Thanks

We cannot see the contents of your basket, however, all packages and deals here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/sim-only-deals#deviceType=phone&contractLength=Featured

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

The answer is usually no, best deals are kept for new customers.  What I did in my case to get a better deal was go via USwitch to apply for a new O2 contract,  which then then directed me to the O2 website, to which I then signed in get the new contract. (o2 treated as tariff swap so I did not even receive a new SIM).   That way I got myself a 4GB / £6  (u switch) deal against a 4G/£12 deal (my account O2 upgrade deal).
