Hi,
I am about to leave the UK in 2 weeks. I would like to know how to shut down my Broadband and Mobile phone subscription?
Thank you

You are right, but thats fine by me. O2 serves me well for all these years...except the Sky move. But that's the way it is.
Cheers and thank you

Hi Toby,
I haven't contacted O2 yet, because i am abroad at the moment. I will be in Reading on Friday. I will try to do what i must do.
I'll be going to Brazil (Rio).
Cheers

You do need to give 30 days notice and don't forget that whilst it comes out of your account, there will be a stage where there may be outstanding calls. More so if you are using your mobile whilst abroad as it takes a while for them to come through. You may be receiving more bills through especially if your billing date crosses.
Usual advice is to cancel the direct debit after receiving zero bill. Which may be a problem if you are closing your bank account then you'll need to pay by card. That I'm led to believe, needs to be a UK based one too. But if you know what the final amounts will be then keep the bank account open and make sure you have enough money in there till the zero bill.
