Contract ends soon + looking to move - next steps?

Anonymous

Hi all,

I have had an incredibly confusing evening trying to ascertain the exact steps I need to take in order to:

+ Make sure my contract ends on the date specified -19th September.

+ not incur any extra costs

I’m aiming to move to another provider, but the O2 chat rep was incredibly confusing.

I have £25 left to pay on my device plan.

My next bill is generated on the 5th September.

Why is this as confusing as I’m being led to believe? Can someone please give me clear instructions?

Most grateful.

Kind regards,

Kevin

Ask o2 for your PAC https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Pay-and-Go/How-to-get-your-PAC-2017-Update/ba-p/1052278
Give your PAC to your new provider around the 1st of September.
Once your number is ported across to the new network your final bill will be generated which will include any outstanding device payments, or you can just pay the £25 off now, in which case you will only get an airtime bill from the 5th September, which you can claim back, as you won't be using the month in advance that it will be billing you for.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Anonymous You can pay off the device plan then give 30 days notice on the airtime cancellation
