good afternoon all,

I am having some issues with my account. My data connection does not stay when I am roaming. I’ve been into o2 stores who have confirmed all settings are correct, we’ve done multiple network settings resets.

I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max and pre ordered the 15 pro max and requested a new sim like I always do.

inserted new sim and set it up and had the above problem.

headed to o2 in Milton Keynes who suggested a sim swap amongst and checked all settings.

this did not fix it. Requested a swap of the device but we all know it is a bit of a delay and I can’t be without a properly working phone.

switched back to my iPhone 12 Pro Max with the new sim given at o2 MK and still the same problem. I assumed it was a sim issue then a device issue and i now believe it to be an account issue 202 are next to useless and can’t

help as it was an online order and they can’t help with a replacement in store (I was even willing to go to a 14 if needed)

I really don’t want to cancel the contract as ive been with o2 15 years.

on ‘My o2’ on the account home page my mobile number is not displayed but my second account (an iPad with sim) that phone number is displayed to the correct account.

It’s almost as if my account doesn’t know I have that number meaning when I leave a post code area it stops working and I have to constantly restart my phone to get the connection for however long.

Hope this all makes sense and some has an idea on a fix.

cheers

luke

@daddyhayes10

Fair chance that you need O2 to add iData to your account and you can set your phone number in Settings >Phone >My Number.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Seems that o2 had placed a bar on my GPRS. I’ve no idea why but I’ve received a text now to say they have released the bar and hopefully it will be all good now. Waiting until 2pm tomorrow to confirm bar successfully lifted and device able to be used properly.

Good luck, @daddyhayes10 - the list of bars in this article may help if further diagnosis is needed: Guide: O2 BARs

Must admit, I’m not holding out much hope.

the MYo2 app support personnel has said that the bar was placed today and removed today so seems the o2 store employee was just trying to fob me off.
