Hi I’m on a monthly tariff of 50GB data and unlimited text and calls. I’ve read that I should be eligible for 02 travel inclusive but currently only have 02 travel with payment £6 outside of Europe. 

is this the case?

Not every tariff over 30GB gets this included, you can find whats included by looking in myo2, and it will show as a bolt on.

This is what it states in our up to date Roaming Megaguide Guide: Roaming MegaGuide 

"Good news, our O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On is now included with selected O2 Refresh tariffs over 90GB and SIM only tariffs over 100GB. You can also select the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On as your Extra if your O2 Refresh tariff is between 30GB and 89GB.

With our O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On, you get a daily allowance of 120 calls, 120 minutes and data roaming in 27 additional destinations (our Inclusive Zone) including USA, Australia and New Zealand. You you can find all of the the included destinations here."

Just check my O2 and see if it's there as a Bolt On. If not then contct O2.

2 good answers. Each begs a further question: So is this 30GB threshold pre- or post-Volt boost?

Looks to me like Volt O2 Travel Inclusive Zone comes along with the Volt benefits, judging by my own MyO2 Bolt-Ons summary, shown above. So if I leave VM, and along with that, my O2 Volt Benefits, at my next VM renewal in July, then I need to pursue the O2 Travel Inclusive, as my base tariff is 30GB:

It's a bit of a minefield 🤐

What do you reckon, @madasaf1sh or @Cleoriff?

The 30GB threshold is PRE Volt. I have it on my sim only plan. I don't have Volt and chose the plan in December. Also, I didn't choose it as an extra, I chose Disney.

Pre Volt, and I can see it disappearing very soon for some reason... or becoming a monthly bolt on with a monthly cost...

Thanks, @Cleoriff for checking, and @madasaf1sh - your guess may well be right, we shall see next October or so, no doubt.  Meantime, if VM keep the voice/data package competitive in June/July, Volt will provide for any chance I may be in parts of the world beyond O2's Europe Zone.

If you plan to travel outside the Europe Zone, remember to check out the data roaming speeds. Known to be pretty poor in the US and Canada.
