I have a Microsoft/Nokia phone where the charger has failed and it has no power to start up and therefore I cannot view any text messages. I need to replace the phone (It has a micro sim). I want to keep the number. Will swapping to a Pay as you go phone with O2 work as is or will I have to take it to an O2 store? Since the security requirment sends messasges to the oild phone this will not work as I cannot see them.

@gdw123

You can just use your SIM in any O2 or unlocked phone.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You may find though that any text messages received whilst the phone had issues will be lost
