welcome gift promo code not working

My contract with virgin has just finished and i have been switched to o2, and i have just reiceved a letter through the post from o2 with a welcome gift which includes promo code for £300 off a samsung galaxy S23 ultra. I have tried using the promo code but it says its invalid and i have tried contacting o2 and they say it is also invalid is there anything i can do.

I called them on 0800 081 0255 and they havent been much help.
