un-locking a O2 sony phone.

Hi, I am about to finish my contract for two years with O2 with my current Sony Xperia LT30.

How do I get it unlock? can O2 customer service give me a code to un-locked it? what is the best way to get it done?

Go to there, fill in form, in a day or two you'll get your code.
Put in non o2 sim, enter code when asked..

Also, If needed, use the name Xperia T. Not sure if they list the product ID's, instead they may use the retail name.

tip get your next phone from carphone warehouse they are unlocked so no need to pay to have a phone you now own UNLOCKED!

Contract phones are free to get unlocked anyway from O2.

However with carphone warehouse you will have to pay more to outright own it as they will not offer refresh thus making sure all airtime is chargeable.

As said, o2 will unlock phones on contract free and quick too, I believe my z2 code came within 18 hrs.
