Ordered a new phone with O2 Refresh, says it was in stock, but now it isn't.

I ordered a Sony Xperia 5 from the O2 website and it's on O2 Refresh. It said it was in stock, placed my order and about 10 mins later after I got the confirmation email that my order has been placed, I've been informed that it's out of stock.

I plan to wait a week at minimum until I get a hold of O2 to see what's going on. So far, O2 hasn't let me down, but I think this time, they might have done.

Has anyone else experienced ordering a phone wth O2 Refresh for this to happen?

Thank you for reading. Looking forward to whatever assistance that is provided!

This happens all the time

That's a big problem when you don't have a live stock system.

All the time? That's not good at all... And they don't have a live stock system? They really should have one.

I didn't think it'd be THAT bad. I've been reading through similar problems people had ordering online with a Pay Monthly Contract with O2 Refresh and they pretty much said the same thing. And that had happened over a span of a few years. :pensive:

Should I wait for about a week or two for now until I chase them up? Or should I do something else?

P.S. Thanks for the quick reply!

UntamableLion Yes it's THAT bad, and has been for years and years. If the phone isn't restocked O2 will eventually refund you, but not before they make a few quid on interest. You can try and chase it up, but it's really difficult getting through at the moment. Has been since the crisis started.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I see. Well, for this one, the upfront payment was zero, with the monthly cost being about £31-£33 a month.

Alright, I'll wait a week. If nothing changes, I'll cancel my order.

Thank you so much for helping me out you two. I really appreciate this!
