O2 coverage for Bishop Sutton (Nr Bristol)

We have no 3G coverage and reception is pretty poor anyway. My broadband comes via a local arial but there is a possibility it could be changed to a bigger mast. Would this affect the O2 signal as well?

@Anonymous it is purely a business decision telefonica has decided to offer consumers tugo as it works at any wifi location and not just the address of the business that o2 register the femtocell at as part of there licence. Yes vodafone went the whole way with consumers but there forum is full of complaints.

Now on o2 2g voice is very good in most locations and when at home / business location and in wifi range why do you need 3g? Now in 2g not spots then the situation is different but yet again tugo will work for consumers (assuming a wifi connection is available via adsl) and boostbox for businesses (again requires adsl). When o2 launch tugo for business then boostbox is a redundant piece of kit that o2 will no longer need to provide dedicated support as each boostbox is locked to the handsets it allows on the network.

Just my take the rrest is down to telefonica.

@Thank you for taking the time to clarify the situation @Anonymous I appreciate your constructive input.

@bob but perksie has a point quoting hearsay in another thread that maybe wrong until facts are checked. It is better not to post on subjects you are not 100% sure about. O2 (telefonica) will not confirm a lot of sensitive information like certain business decissions.

I agree very much, if you're not sure and you can't prove something is correct then don't post it, as it simply causes confusion.

What's with the bad attitudes?

BoB was merely passing on some info he had read in another thread on this forum from a somewhat knowledgable member, where is the harm in that?

He also used the phrase "I believe..."

None of us are correct ALL the time so lose the attitude guys...

Apologies if I got this wrong and started a "s" storm, The last company I worked for with an O2 business contract (admittedly 400+ phones) offered a service guarantee and any reps that worked from home who suffered from a poor signal were furnished with a boostbox....
I remember our IT manager rubbing his hands together with glee (at the potential savings for that month) when our local mast failed for a couple of days....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Good morning MI5.

As you can see from the posts I've taken the flaming for simply trying to learn from a much more knowledgeable person than me ,you, and using your info to further help answer a question posed by Damien1, but when I tried to point out where I got the info from when challenged ,that was ignored and the flaming contined !

My last post proves that I'm not the only member who advises from 'acquired knowledge' ,but on pointing that out the thread went silent. Go figure.

I'd like to thank the other members who tried to point this out.

I'd also like to apologise to the OP for how their thread panned out.
