My emails have suddenly stopped sync onto my Android Phone from blueyonder. What do I do as can't get this to work?

Delete the account from your phone and re add it.
Usually fixes all issues.
If you set up as IMAP account you won't lose anything.

I have deleted the account and attempted to set up again - says couldn't open connection to the server. I am going round in circles here. Virginmedia doesn't want to help when they created this issue. O2 can't help either! Not great! Causing unnecessary inconvenience/frustration!!

Could be the server down at the moment.
Are you letting the phone run the auto setup routine?
If so, check the settings are correct.

If you are getting could not connect to server then it is usually a problem with the mail server,, Can you access the VM Webmail service?
If not then I would raise this on the VM Community here https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/bd-p/email
To be honest the VM email platform is flakey at best, and in this day and age you would be better off with gmail or your own domain and email service

Equally, it could be your phone that isn't getting a data connection.
My ntlworld email is working fine currently @HC2024

Well my two gmail email accounts are synchronising perfectly fine. There was an issue with logging into my webmail last week when the syncing on my phone stopped working at the same time. Virginmedia advised me that the blueyonder domain has been shutdown. They set up a third party login on Virginmedia so I can access my emails but said that the phone is a third party application and won't help. This is madness as it is obviously connected and doesn't identify the blueyonder server no the third party application email set up.

Sounds typical of Virgin @HC2024
