Is the call actually being ended or can you hear the other person but they can't hear you, or vice versa?

I suppose you could be holding the phone in such a way that you are pressing the volume down button and so the call volume is turning down but you would notice that the next time you make a call and can't hear the other person.

You used to be able to mute the call from your side by pressing and holding the menu button on old Nokias but I dont know if thats possible on the 515, plus it would show "Mute On" on your screen.

Hi WispaRed7

Normally to mute a call on a Nokia you have to go into Options” menu by pressing on the “OK" or “Send” button and selecting “Mute” from the menu. To un-mute, select “Options” again and choose “Un-mute.”

Very weird that the issue is happening on one call.

Hi Wispa

Does this happen EVERY time you call this one number? (or is it an intermittent problem?)

Also, if it only happens with the one number you ring.....then that seems a little weird to me.

If it was YOUR  mistake, surely that would be happening with every call you make?

hi guys

I can hear the person I've called but they can't hear me

I've rung the number this evening & its been alright = intermittent

the person whose number it is assures me he isn't being 'silly' with me

Bob could it be that I'm pressing my left ear too close to the phone

& activating the mute?

thank you

just to let you know this problem has now been solved

it appears the fault lies in the mobile phone I have been ringing ... as that person has experienced same with another number he has called or received a call from

there was some ambiguity with me & my phone as when a close member of my family rings me or me them

there is sometimes a line disengaged

but I believe this to be my elderly family member inadvertantly mis-handling of their phone ... either landline or mobile

thank you
