Word Hunt Diamond - Game 84

Welcome to the Word Hunt Diamond - Game 84

The game is open to all members.

Each week, a grid of nine letters in a diamond will be posted.

The aim of the game is to find the target number of words [as in the source used for the game] using only the letters in the grid.

This week`s "diamond" is as follows:

This week`s target is 63 words - using only the letters in the diamond - including one 9-letter word.

PLEASE NOTE:

During the game, I will have to STOP the game periodically so I can give updates of words found.

Please be patient and wait. I hope this does not cause too much delay or disruption to the game. 

Towards the end of the game, as soon as the LAST WORD in the list is given, I will post an announcement

- LAST WORD FOUND. PLEASE STOP THE GAME - 

and I will then post my reply to the words given up to the announcement, showing whether the word is in the list or is a word not in the list; 

after that, I will post the Congratulations - who found the last word; who found the nine-letter word; and who gave the most words not in the list up to when I posted the announcement LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME.

I will be giving awards to players

  star  - to the player who finds the nine-letter word

  trophy - to the player who finds the last word in the list in the source used for the game

  diamond dog - to the player who finds the most words not in the list up to when announcement -

     LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME [words given after the announcement will not count]

The rules:

No proper names are allowed.

Each word must contain four letters or more and must include the red letter G.

Scottish words and American spellings are allowed.

Each letter in the grid can only be used once in each word [for example, GENIE isn`t allowed]

Of course, words do not have to start with the red letter G

Only one word per post.

Please wait until someone else has posted before posting again.

The Word Hunt Diamond game is open to all members.

Well done everyone in your team effort in finding the 63 words in the list in the source used for this game and 33 words not in the list but in dictionaries so allowed before the notice to stop the game when last word found.

Apologies for few problems I had during the game and hope it didn`t spoil it.   

The Word Hunt Diamond will be back next Tuesday - 23 Nov 2021 with a different target and different set of letters and different red-letter. I hope all the Diamond Dogs of Words will join in next Tuesday.

@Mi-Amigo thanks for hosting another quality WHD game, albeit I joined in late, I'm glad I got to contribute to finish the list. I have to say there was a bit of head scratching with this one!

Sorry the progress today was proving difficult to track for updates, @Mi-Amigo - it takes an iron will to keep up when it starts lagging like that.

And well done all participants - broadly similar magnitude of on-list and off-list words today, so dictionary wear at a premium 😁

Pleased you enjoyed the game.

I think this game showed that despite a smaller target [63 words in the list], it wasn`t quite as easy to solve and there were some obscure words not in the list.

A great team effort by everyone who took part and congratulations to @Cleoriff and getting all three awards this time.
