Welcome to
The Word Hunt Diamond Game is posted on Off Topic every Tuesday and is open to all members.
The aim of the game is to find the target number of words [as in the source used for the game] using only the letters in the grid.
Today`s Word Hunt Diamond has the following grid....
T
W Y
O A U
L R
D
This week`s target is 57 words - using only letters in the diamond - inc one 9-letter word.
THE RULES - PLEASE NOTE CHANGES TO RULES
No proper names are allowed.
Each word must contain four letters or more and must include the red letter A.
Scottish words and American spellings are allowed.
Each letter in the grid can only be used once in each word
Of course, words do not have to start with the red letter A
Each player may post up to two words per post.
Please wait until someone else has posted before posting again but if the game is running slow,
and no-one has posted for at least 10 mins, then a player may post again.
PLEASE NOTE:
During the game, I will have to STOP the game periodically so I can give updates of words found.
Please be patient and wait. I hope this does not cause too much delay or disruption to the game.
Towards the end of the game, as soon as the LAST WORD in the list is given, I will post an announcement - LAST WORD FOUND. PLEASE STOP THE GAME - and I will then post my reply to the words given up to the announcement, showing whether the word is in the list or is a word not in the list; after that, I will post the Congratulations - who found the last word; who found the nine-letter word; and who gave the most words not in the list up to when I posted the announcement LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME.
I will be giving awards to players
star - to player who finds the nine-letter word
trophy - to player who finds the last word in the list in the source used for the game
diamond dog - to player who finds the most words not in the list up to when announcement
- LAST WORD FOUND, PLEASE STOP THE GAME [words after announcement will not count]
The Word Hunt Diamond game is open to all members.
I hope the Diamond Dogs of Words [thanks @pgn for the term] - those who have played in previous Word Hunt Diamond games - including
@Cleoriff @pgn @gmarkj @J9el @BobM @TallTrees @RafaC
and any member who has not played before or has not played for a while; and any new member will join in and play today`s WHD.
Can you, between you, not only find the 57 words in the list [in the source used for this game], and the nine-letter word in this WHD game, but also find additional words not in the list ?
Good luck everyone and have fun...

How dare you get up so early???😂😂😂
Knowing that PGN is on the flight home, my next two, first thing this morning were
AULD
LATO.
Still, @pgn would have got it as he posted it first. Well done young man 😂
Great game @Mi-Amigo and well done everyone.
Just an observation......posting 2 words at a time didn't speed the game up this time.

Thank you @Cleoriff
I was up bright and early to see what had happened while I was away in the land of nod 😂
Nice to see the game had ended and pleased you enjoyed the game. Well done on finding the nine-letter word.
I thought this game wasn`t quite so easy - even though it had a smaller target and we have the new rules.
Hope everyone will join in with next week`s WHD.

It's amazing what holds your attention at 1am, when being asked to make sure the bin is emptied and empty plastic and glass bottles are disposed of*, then deciding to weather the Internet until taxi pickup at 3am for the trip back to the airport for a 7am flight 😖
Well done, all, and thank you @Mi-Amigo - a longer duration WHD, and the 10-min rule works well, I think.
*Spain has self-service sorted disposal available any time, usually within a few 10s of metres of wherever you may be staying - so much more convenient than weekly alternating bin collection here in the UK.
