As mentioned in the Advanced Notice on Monday, this week`s White Room Quiz is eight "easier" questions selected from various quiz books, in which six questions are classed as "easy" and two are classed as "medium" - but I`m not saying which questions are in the "easy" or "medium" classes.

There is no QI-style question, where the answer is not what everyone thinks it is.

Good luck, everyone

Super job, @Mi-Amigo - love the quiz! Always a challenge, and frequently contentious, but a much-needed opportunity to let off steam 🤣

Thank you @Cleoriff  @MI5  and @pgn for your kind comments.

I`ll be working on next week`s quiz over the weekend and will post an Advanced Notice on Monday.

Just as a bit of a teaser, I have a "What the ...?" question in mind which I might include.... wink

I thought the shuttle question was a trick. Enterprise was the very first shuttle (named after the USS-1701) but Columbia was the first to venture into space!

I thought that was the trick too - but with Columbia, Discovery and Endeavour, I did wonder if there had been an A and a B I had hitherto not heard about. Then I remembered reading of Challenger, and Atlantis - blowing my alphabetical theory out of the water.

Was there an Enterprise, @Anonymous?

Yes @pgn Enterprise was the first reusable spacecraft and was named so because of the Star Trek tagline .. ‘to go where no man has gone before‘

It was flown off the back of a 747 for initial flight testing... but was never rated for space flight..

Makes sense, @Anonymous - I remember the testing, and the premise it presented for the opening of the Bond film, Moonraker. Not much of a trekkie if I didn't know the link to NCC-1701 - interesting.
