I see most of us thought Q8 was Skittles. So I don't feel so bad about it now.... relieved

(With the exception of @pgn and @BobM  of course Lol)

It was between skittles and shove halfpenny for me and as it happens I just chose the correct one.  No knowledge involved.

Thanks @Mi-Amigo - were a few tricky ones in there.

Well done all who took part thumbsup

Now I've got that out of my system LOL

Well done all, and thanks @Mi-Amigo!

At least three of my answers were guesses: 1, 5 and 8. I thought mules for obstinacy, hence my wrong gif showing a Moscow Mule. Then I remembered a tee-shirt that showed bison...

And the beating and shaking for 'decutient', from 'decutere', to make fall, or knock down, by shaking - how olives are harvested (not leaves, @TallTrees,but the fruit).

Particularly devious this time, @Mi-Amigo - I'll bet that old book is on your list of five things to take to the Desert Island with you 👍🤣

To be honest @BobM I struggled with Q2 Decutient...I had a feeling it was decadent...then a light bulb moment from the recesses of my brain.... so like you, no real knowledge just an inspired choice between the two words...rolling_eyes
