There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

Each White Room Quiz will have eight questions - with two questions from four categories.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo - with their answers between 12 noon today [Wednesday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Thursday]

Please note: there is no QI-style question in which the answer is not what most people think.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

Those who want to take part must pm [private message] me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Wed 21 October] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thursday 22 October]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Fri 23 October

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, each member who gives

THE RULES

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Wed 21 October 2020] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Thurs 22 October 2020].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Thursday 22 October will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz.

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

I just couldn't pull that surname out of my mind. I knew it was something like that though......

Must admit I struggled with the surname as well. I knew it was either Whitbread or Whiteread. Just happened to put the correct one.

ADVANCED NOTICE - WHITE ROOM QUIZ "HALLOWEEN SPECIAL"

As part of the O2 Community Off Topic "Halloween Week", there will be a special edition of the WRQ next Wednesday - 28 October - with 12 [instead of the usual eight] questions, all in some way related to Halloween and Diamond Thinker [for 12 correct answers] and Gold Thinker [for 10 correct answers] as well as the usual Silver Thinker [for 8 correct answers], Bronze Thinker [for 6 correct answers], and Red Thinker [for 4 correct answers], and a star for each correc answer.

That art question was tricky. The quiz book which I took it from rated it as very difficult.

I hope you like the categories for Monday`s Quiz and will also be able to take part in the Halloween Special - which should be a lot of fun.

Thanks, @Mi-Amigo - a quiz that, for the most part, I managed to get most of the answers to on first read, and nearly gave the game away on Q1 with my welly-whanging gif

Well done and, like @MI5 , just missed out on the Silver Thinker with that pesky art question

I don`t think your gif gave much away and I for one think they add to the fun, especially for those who come and view the quiz [be great if some of them would come and join in ]

Welly wanging is a common practice/game in the Midlands @pgn

In fact, in my nursing days and being as frightened as hell of my new boss (who went on to become the Head of Nursing) I was surprised to find her at a local games day in the area, wanging wellies like a good 'un. Changed my perspective of her there and then.

It also helped that my hubby was participating the the ramp rollover section with the banger cars. She was most impressed.

We became firm friends from that day on....

Just to make this WRQ a bit of a mystery [after all it is Halloween], I`m not going to say which categories the questions will be from, only that there will be 12 different questions - but the good news is there won`t be a QI-style question [where the answer is not what most people think] but the bad news is there will be a couple of head scratchers
