There are two White Room Quizzes each week - one on Monday and one on Wednesday.

Each White Room Quiz will have eight questions - with two questions from four categories. 

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

Those wishing to take part must pm me - @Mi-Amigo - with their answers between 12 noon today [Monday] and 11.59pm tomorrow [Tuesday]

Today`s WRQ questions are two questions from each of these cateories

 

    WORDS  MOVIES  GAMES

 

and two ODD questions - one on FLAGS and one on CODES

 

Please note: there is no QI-style question [where the answer is not what most people think] this time.

Also, as some found some of the recent questions harder, four of the eight questions are classed as

"easier" in the quiz books I consulted in compiling this quiz.

Q4 [ODD - 1: FLAGS] Which is the only country in the modern world that does NOT have a rectangular

                                     national flag ?

 

Q5 [WORDS - 2] What is vexillology the study of ? 

 

Q6 [MOVIES - 2] Which 2010 movie had the tagline

                              "You don`t get 500 million friends without making a few enemies" ?

 

Q7 [GAMES - 2] In darts, what is the highest possible score with three darts, with each dart in a different "treble" ? 

 

Q8 [ODD - 2: CODE] What four-letter word does this spell in Morse Code:

                                     --.-   ..-     ..    --..   ?  

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members of the Community.

 

Those who want to take part must pm [private message] me [Mi-Amigo] with their answers between 12 noon today [Mon 27 July] and 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tuesday 28 July]

- allowing 36 hours to pm your answers.

 

Please do not post your answers on the thread.

 

The answers - and results for each player taking part - will be posted on morning of Wed 29 July.

 

Each member will be awarded star for each correct answer. In addition, each member who gives

Each member must pm [private message] their answers to me [Mi-Amigo] after 12 noon today [Mon 27 July 2020] and before 23.59 [11.59pm] tomorrow [Tues 28 July 2020].

No member is to post any answer on the thread.

Any answer received after 23.59 [11.59pm] on Tuesday 28 July will be declared void.

No googling, wiki, youtube search for answers.

 

The White Room Quiz is open to all members.

New members, who have recently joined the Community, and members who have not taken part before, are welcome to join the "regulars" with this week`s quiz. 

 

Please feel free to post any comments on the questions - but not the answers - on this thread.

If you have any questions about the quiz, please ask and I will reply here.

Originally had 180 for darts question...(thought it was very easy rofl)

We had the darts one in a quiz back in the day, simple maths. Also Switzerland nearly got fingered for the flag, until I remembered Vatican State, which prompted a search of the wallchart in the other room...

It IS simple maths if you read it properly @pgn . My problem was, I didn't, until I double checked.

Well done on getting the Silver Thinker.

As for Mi-Amigo being "sneaky" wait `til you see the questions in today`s WRQ - one of which I think is not as easy as it first appears Thinking

 

btw the four quesions in Monday`s quiz which are classed in quiz books as "easier" were Q3; Q5; Q6; Q7 - which shows, as has been said previously, the questions are only "easy" if you know the answer.
