Thanks for your clarification @Mi-Amigo.

I love these quizzes and yes they certainly give us all something else to concentrate on to take our minds off what is going on in the outside world.

They are fun and we wouldn't take part if we didn't enjoy them.

The subjects I shudder at are physics and chemistry... as back in my days at school, they were subjects only taught to the boys. The girls took subjects to prepare them for being a good wife and mother!! (needlework and cookery).

Good job I now love motorsports and am married to someone who was a quizmaster himself and have taken part in numerous pub quizzes..

Carry on with the good work you do. On a personal note, I am so grateful I have these quizzes to look forward to every week. Keeps my old brain active. (sometimes) yahoo

Well said @Cleoriff

No way are you a cheater @gmarkj and I`m not blaming anyone for anything - least of all a possible misinterpretation of the rules.

After a stab at an answer, I have been known to reach to my left and lift the Shakespeare Character Compendium, or the Pears (now missing, I note!) and the ClassicFM Guide to Composers off the bookshelf and such... So I should really go with my knowledge, or best guess.
The Current WRQ was an absolute wonder, or at least I hope it will have been when @Mi-Amigo releases the results tomorrow - no monarchs or battles y'see 👍😇
I enjoy the rest of recall, like the Dalek question - took me several hours, before it popped into my head in the morning of the next day, so that should be my MO now on - chain the left hand to the arm of the sofa 🤠🤪

Reading all comments today..I am astonished that WispaRed7 decided to leave the community. Nothing from me either and I can't imagine anyone would.
Wispa has a sympathy with animals and nature is a good person and I hope she knows we will miss her contribution here❤
Good luck Jane and take care.

While it is true that I did pm WispaRed7 about her answers to this WRQ, I certainly did NOT accuse her of cheating and nor did I say or imply that anyone had made any accusations about her.

However as the contents of PM's are meant to be private, I have no intention of revealing on a public forum anything which was said by either me or WispaRed 7 in our exchange of pm`s. What was said was between WispaRed7 and myself. All I will say is, the pm`s closed amicably with no offence taken.

To repeat, I certainly did NOT accuse her of cheating and I'm shocked that she has left.

Well that's cleared that up @Mi-Amigo.

Yes you are correct, PM's between members are private and not to be shared publicly. Also pleased to hear the PM's between you and Jane were closed amicably.

I suggest we move on and get back to the WRQ. thumbsup

I had to laugh regarding the question about Pleaching.

If anyone had watched Alan Titchmarsh and his I Love My Garden show on Monday night, you would have seen him doing a bit of pleaching (as he called it) on a fence. smiling
