Well, I was close with my bird answer, I thought:

  • It's a female Ooh Migooly bird

Not. 🐦🤣

Great quiz, @Mi-Amigo - and well done all, even the escapee from Shelob, @LukasB, from his spot yesterday on TNS.

Pleased you enjoyed the quiz and well done on getting a Bronze Thinker + star

Looks like @LukasB having been released from TNS is going to behave with today`s WRQ, which is now up on a separate thread, and I hope you like the questions.

Hello @Mi-Amigo
I have listened to all the owl calls on the woodland Trust site and none are hoohook.
Hoohook is a plastic man made owl with a hook for keys.

This is a hoohook

@TallTreesI posted that picture as a joke, as I just came across it this morning.

Now with all the furore I'm wishing I hadn't. rolling_eyes

My answer of an owl was correct, simply because I guessed at it from the sounds owls make.

It was a lucky guess as it turned out. Also answered correctly by @jonsie

A hoohook bird isn't a man made plastic keyring.

Although the pictures show you can purchase hoo HOOKS to hang things on.

I'm sure @Mi-Amigo  didn't make the question up, he has a vast array of quiz books and references to use before he sets the quiz. yahoo wink

Hi there @Cleoriff

Actually I saw it too on the internet, the same time as you.

So it answered my query ~ I am always very interested in birds (and bees!) as you know.

Yes, I love all nature questions @TallTrees including birds, though not  bee expert like yourself....

I think we just put the hoohook owl to bed now....sleepingyahoo

Bottom line, the WRQ is meant to be a bit of fun and lighthearted relief. smiling

Thank you @Cleoriff

That was always my intention from the begining. The WRQ is meant to be fun and was extended to twice-weekly as a bit of light relief during these difficult times. Which is why it is called the White Room Quiz - in direct contrast to the serious and daunting black chair of Mastermind.

And what matters to me is that people enjoy the White Room Quiz.

Bah.
Misread the last question. Not sure how or why but thought it said baddie instead of brother.
Time to book a trip to SpecSavers (other opticians are available...)
