I'm always asking my friends and family for cool places to visit.
One of the best places I've ever been is here, the Gold Coast, Australia:
But I've always wanted to go here, Machu Picchu in Peru:
Where's the best place you've ever been?
I think I know @jonsie 's answer

Strangely enough @Toby as much as I love Thailand, my favourite place has to be Bali...
Closely followed by Bondi Beach, Sydney...
I have been lucky enough to travel the world extensively from the States through Europe, Russia and the Middle East and onto to S E Asia and Australia. So many wonderful memories and so difficult to pick favourite places. Still have South America on my to-do list but will probably forego that and the rest of my travels will almost certainly be Thailand.

Abroad, it would have to be Dubai in the United Arab Emirates
In GB, it would have to be Portmeirion in Wales

Yes I must admit to loving Florida and Disney...though I actually prefer the Universal Studios parks.
Have been four times in total. The last time we took the lads and their partners and my grandson. We went
for 3/52 and had the best of everything. An enormous villa, 2 cars and theme park tickets for every park.
My husband would love to go to Cuba and Dubai. My list includes a safari in Kenya.
I have to say though our absolute best 'free' holiday was again in Florida. Does anyone remember the
Hoover PR fiasco when they gave away 2 free flight tickets to Florida with every item purchased costing
£100 or more? Well I am very proud of the fact that I did beat Hoover at their own game..It did take a long
time and needed everything recorded, but I was one of the few that got what I wanted..
Four free return flights. We had to book our own villa and hire cars but it was a very cheap holiday

I feel the exact same way
Some very well travelled people on this thread!
For in the UK, my favourite place is Swanage in Dorset:
