Hey guys.
In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too!
To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.
(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

However, if they are in by the end of May, they might want to buy some pots and containers. They can plant a lot of annual bedding plants and have a summer of instant colour.
A bit later on and if they are keen, they could have a water feature. Nothing more soothing on a warm summer evening, than sitting outside with a glass of wine and listening to the water.
Oh and garden lights...never forget garden lights...
Or as my husband calls them...'blumming Blackpool illuminations'
Thank you @Cleoriff ... I hadn't thought about garden lights, I believe you can buy the solar powered 'just stick in the ground' type
I like the thought of a water feature ... they have a bbq & garden seating from their current place
Pots of plants sounds like instant colour ... yes, I know it takes time & £'s, but I'd say my son would be interested
I don't know what aspect the front & back gardens have so that may make a difference
The are both cat lovers ... Emma wants a Bengal & a Maine Coone cat ... they both work full-time so 2 cats would be company for each other ... Alex had mentioned before that he'd have to make the back garden secure for the cats ... I suppose 'cat-hard landscaping' goes in 1st & may be costly
At Emma's parent's house in Southport there are 5 cats with a secure 'run' due to neighbours threatening to put down poison ... Alex says you open the bathroom blind in order to have a shave & you find a cat staring in your face

Being with 2 good male friends 'dahn the pub' ... = ... having serious & not-so-serious conversations
I won't mention that dratted headache which came back after a spell in the fresh air
btw only drinking warming tea in the bar ...

But this is what I'm missing. This is what I could have won!!

Aaah! Didn't got that. Thought they were able to rescue it... but great to hear he's doing well with the new limbs
@Glory1
You lucky one to live here!
Greets from London ❤️ @Marjo made sure to send positive energy, so it's awesome weather now for my holidays 🎉🎈🥂
Yes @ComaChameleon I think I'm lucky to live in the UK not just London. I'm so happy I made the decision in 1969 to up stakes and move here. Best decision I've ever made. I wouldn't live anywhere else

To be fair @jonsie I think you would need some time to adjust to the heat in Pattaya after spending a year going through this blasted cold dull and dreary weather.
Also, it's only 10c here currently and doesn't appear to be getting higher than 17c all day

thank you @ComaChameleon for wishing my son & his wife all the best = they move into their house over the weekend - it's forecast dry in Leeds
Here in Skipton 1st happy moment of the day = the wind has dropped, there is pinkish / white sky
I had a good night's sleep which is great & had given me a happy start to the day
The cat's come in after a night out on the tiles = he came when called so I wasn't standing at the door like a pratt
So far so good for a happy day
time to see what I can find for some brekkie
