Hi,
After watching the recent TV programme "The Complainers " and those poor call-centre workers
http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Off-topic/Set-your-TV-planners-Tue-27-5-14-Ch4-9pm-The-Complainers/m-p/... it got me thinking of examples of Customer Service I've received.
Poor Service.
I recently visited a well known supermarket to buy groceries. One offer was a well known brand of bread for £1 but on scanning it came up full price on all three loaves. A member of staff got another , scanned it and was confused as the point of sale on the shelf said £1. She called a senior member who went to the shelf and said in an uninterested tone that's for another make of bread , physically shunted the other brand of bread I had chosen along the shelf actually crushing the other loaves on the shelf ,and walked away without even reaching any eye contact ,leaving me and the other employee just standing there in limbo. Now it wasn't the extra couple of quid I'd have to pay that annoyed me ,but her attitude. If one of her staff was confused then how on earth was a customer to know. Me and my partner left all our shopping at the till , left the store and I received an apology and £5 gift voucher.
Good Customer Service.
After reserving my iPhone at an Apple Store I visited at a pre determined time. I was met and greeted with a smile, and offer of assistance. Escorted to a waiting area and my iPhone was brought out in minutes ,and then asked if I was ok opening it in-store to see it was to my satisfaction ,and booted up ok. Then I was accompanied to a set up area and he stayed with me until it was up and running and my iCloud back up had finished. All the time having a quality conversation on the workings of the phone.
In the past I've been used to buying the phone and left to wander out of the shop !
What's your good and poor experiences ?
