Think we're having bad weather? This is tonight's forecast for the Northeastern US.

Saturday :-

Grey and cloudy with some drizzle throughout the morning. Has now stopped raining and the sun is trying valiantly to poke through the clouds. No wind.

Quite chilly early on and is 19 degrees celsius at the time of writing.

Good grief!! Is this rain ever going to end? Non stop since we got home on Friday.

Same in Poole, so we really did pick the best week to go away.

Sunday :-

Torrential rain and thunderstorms overnight gave way to a very grey and cloudy morning with the occasional heavy shower.

Has now stopped raining and has brightened up - the sun is trying valiantly to poke through the clouds. No wind.

Quite chilly early on and is 18 degrees celsius at the time of writing.

Wow @Cleoriff, that is a fabulous view.

I am trying to fathom the angle of the photograph ; to the right of centre on the horizon, is that a lighthouse ? Or am I seeing things ? 👍

@Oxonian

The picture was taken as a straight on view, There's no lighthouse. In fact , the top back view had a small train running along a track (*Not seen as the tracks are through the trees,) It was a tourist train taking people on a tour of the estuary and sandbanks.

The two black lines you see at the forefront are electricity wires leading from a pole to the boathouse at the bottom of the pines which wasn't captured on this photo. I was more interested in zooming in on the folk on mini yachts and paddle sail boats.

The picture was taken from the verandah of our caravan. You can see the gorgeous weather.

Friday stayed dry.

Saturday morning/afternoon was lovely. Started to rain in the evening and didn't seem to stop!

Sunday morning there was a brief stop to the rain, but started just before I had to load the car. Rained most of the way down to London, but stopped just before we parked up at Cockfoster. Then it was warm and muggy until 10 minutes after we got back to the car when it started again.

Monday started off with rain, rain and more rain. The only part that changes is how heavy it is coming down - sometimes really fast, other times just as a drizzle.
And the weather warning has been extended as well!!
