Valentines...

does anybody celebrate this? looking on Ebay it all seems to be hearts and flowers... ( when i'm actually looking for storage sets :/) i heart the simple romance, holding hands, flowers on a date kinda thing, so i don't buy into the commercialism etc,

without sounding like a wierdo, i will be getting my daughter a card, and making her some heart cookies, as i stand by the fact love is love, and although there is many kinds, a girl should always feel loved no matter what her age.. and i'll get her a few princess-y things so she can feel special for the day slight_smile

will any of you be doing anything? getting someone a card, making a cake? getting somebody some flowers ( i LOVE lillies XD )

and to all those who normally comment, ill make some cookies for you too, i may have to eat them tho... grin

Some Valentines facts for you guys:

- The date (Feb. 14th) originates from the ancient Romans using this date to honour Juno, the god of Women and Marriage in an event known as the Feast of Lupercalia.

- $1 billion of chocolate is sold in the US every year on Valentines........That'll give you a headache and a trip to the dentist.

- Men reportedly buy 73% of flowers on Valentines day at the garage forecourt or at the supermarket. To be expected I suppose!

- The largest romantic gesture is arguably the Taj Majal, from the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his wife.

There. Fixed it to reflect the real situation Smiley LOL
