Re: The White Room Thursday Quiz - 12 Sept 2019

I expect the chemistry one was easy for you @pgn ?

Just shows the different school topics through the ages. Lol

We did not do chemistry or physics at my school. We 'touched on it' during our cadet scheme from age15-18 and biochemistry during nurse training...

Also at secondary school in the 50's there was a real gender divide. BOYS did subjects such as Chemistry and Physics. GIRLS were encouraged to study the arts and literature and domestic science!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The White Room Thursday Quiz - 12 Sept 2019

3 and 4 were my dead certs (yes, @Cleoriff, I enjoyed chemistry at school. Out of inorganic, organic, physical and, later, biochemistry, the organic bit was my least favourite. I did like the IUPAC naming system for organic compounds though 😁)

1 and 2 would have been maybes.

5 and 6 - no chance!

Hmm. Giving away my weaknesses here.
