Google Glass Explorer program kicks off in the UK!

"Wearable fans, your time has arrived: Google has just announced that, finally, its Glass Explorer program is officially kicking off in the UK! That means you’ll be able to get your hands on a prototype version of the futuristic Google Glass wearable, all before it officially launches to the rest of the public. Is it about time Glass hit over here?"

"Unfortunately, just like the Explorer programme in the States, getting in will deal a hefty blow to your wallet. In fact, it’ll set you back a cool £1,000 to be in with the chance of trialling Google’s wearable headset, and you need to be over 18 and have a credit card to have a shot of nabbing one. That said, if you’re really keen to give Glass a go, and you’re over the age of 18, you can RSVP directly to Google to request a demo at a Basecamp in London, opening this Friday and Saturday."

My thoughts :

£1,000 ~ WoW !!

I have read both articles and am left wondering 'What is the point?' ...

I know I am an 'old fogey..ah bless'.....but is it Googles intent to turn us all into a bunch of robots

(Anyway, to coin a phrase... 'I wouldn't be seen dead in them'..... pfffttt!!)
