A little early to start this thread, although the new judge to replace Darcey Bussell has been announced
It's Motsi Mabuse (sister of Oti Mabusi)
Motsi Mabuse, elder sister of Strictly Come Dancing star Oti, has been named as Dame Darcey Bussell's replacement on the BBC One show's judging panel.
Originally from South Africa, Motsi is a former South African champion and German Latin champion and a judge on Strictly Come Dancing's German version.
Mabuse, 38, said she was "absolutely overjoyed" to be joining the panel and hoped to "add her own bit of sparkle".

I don't doubt her credentials at all but can't help wondering how this will work as Oti is still appearing on the show?

If there's a reason to stop watching football pre-match/half-time/post-match analysis, its when Ian Wright is a guest. He's been morphing into Homer Simpson for a while though. Thankfully, I shall continue with my annual avoidance of I'm not a celeb get me a cat video instead for the 17th year in a row and tune into MoTD safely knowing he won't be on this side of Christmas.
Second reason to stop watching football: Garth Crooks. His BBC articles are better but he's got this annoying habit of over describing everything and talks about nothing. He's also miserable at times. Actually most of the time. Question is, is there a modern picture of Garth smiling? Google search says its the same photo....

Do NOT bank on him being away from MoTD this side of Christmas.
The way he is going on IAACGMOOH, he will walk pretty soon. Or be voted off.
I don't think he has ever watched the programme. Everyone knows you have to complete challenges to get food for camp. He hasn't been picked for a challenge yet, though has starting moaning about the meals that OTHERS have won for all of them to eat.
The show has been running since Sunday and last night his bad temper and feeling of entitlement were seen to shock the others in the camp. Nasty piece of work.

Ooh, we are behind a day on IAAC so are yet to see that.
Did raise my eyebrows at Caitlyn's proclamation of the american's coming in to bail us out though!
Watch Ian Wrights face when they failed the Dingo Dollars challenge because HE (along with others) gave the wrong answer to the question.
Oh and two new contestants went in last night.

First of all...never let Bruno open a show again. Awful.
Secondly, can someone find Tess a dress which isn't falling off her shoulder. Same old same old.
Saffron and AJ... Samba. This showed her inability to dance. Out of time a lot and dance off looming I think. Scored 26
Karim and Amy Couples choice. I loved this. A bit of heart pulling with the family element but even so a really lovely number. Scored a well deserved 38.
Alex and Neil. My favourite dance so it was a shame she messed up a little . The ganchos and leg hooks were a bit contrived. Craig was right, it was as if Alex was determined to get all the legwork in at whatever cost. A fairly good job for a very difficult dance. Scored 26.
Kelvin and Oti. Loved this couples choice. Great to see Northern Soul on SCD. Brilliant. Scored 38
Emma and Anton. A few mistakes with their Quickstep. I wasnt impressed. I am shocked they scored 3 points higher than Alex. Scored 29
Chris and Karen. Paso Doble. Well I was very impressed with that. Missed a few steps if I am being over critical but the music was great and a very dramatic performance. Scored 31
In my opinion Saffron and Emma should be in the dance off. Though it could be Saffron and Chris/Alex.
Either way, surely the game is up for Saffron?

I will give Bruno credit for not being a pro singer but has so far been the best of the series. The bar is that low. Perhaps the old school dance routine with feathers might have helped and I can't help but think this routine is more Bruno
But lets hope this is a one-off never to be repeated. Overall, quite a good show as I was expecting a post-Blackpool dullness to the routines.
Saying that, the VT for Saffron with her zombie clan was probably the worst yet. The catchy slogan" social media followers" sounds as contrived as the segment was. Should have brought The Nan back in as the formation line-dancing of the zombies was pitiful. Within 10 seconds, it had dance-off written all over it and it didn't get any better. This stage of the series she should be better but AJ is doing too much to place her. Come to think of it, I should trademark "Social Media Zombie Clan".
Karim: outshone Amy for most of the time. Was it as good as Will's from a few weeks back? I think thats what Craig was hinting at the technique/emotional ratio but still excellent.
Alex: undermarked and at the bottom thanks to Craig. Will beat Saffron in a dance-off easily.
Kelvin: Northen Soul playlist on Youtube needed! Seriously, who had a bright garish yellow kitchen? How Craig had the audacity to give it an 8 is well audacious. Needs re-watching because it was that good (the routine will be on youtube early next week).
Emma: Channelling the inner Marilyn Munroe or taking tips from RuPaul's Drag Race? Tonight's mis-match of music to dance and the dance-off may save her in providing she doesn't make mistakes. If she's safe this week, she still has a couple of latin dances to do which won't go well with Anton.
Chris: To my surprise, he did way better than I thought he would and at this stage, way over-acheiving and we love him for it. Probably overmarked though. Could be the saved couple against Saffron but not against Alex. Against Emma, it will be close.
Bonus marks for Tamika Epson(??). Best interpretation of T&C's reading EVER!
Oh so we have a proper singer in tomorrow in Andreas Bottochelli. As long as he doesn't attempt to do Beyonce "Single Ladies", I won't be finding a suitable cat video to contrast. Actually that still would be unique and exciting to see him do that but sadly, its not meant to be.

well funny
I do enjoy reading this thread particularly as I am unable to view SCD on tv in living room
At the mention of Andreas Bocelli I may just watch the programme, after broadcasting, on the laptop

So the results show.
Anton and Emma saved....Much to their shock (and mine)
Kelvin and Oti safe (thankfully) and the VT of Kelvins dad doing Northern Soul was great, (particularly as he thought he would be on SCD performing it)
Saffron and AJ are the first couple in the dance off. She rolled her eyes when announced, though should have realised that the Samba is a 'killer' of dreams...particularly for AJ who has gone out every year on the Samba (I think)
O.M.G. @sheepdog ...you said this last week "Think at this stage of the series, we may see Karim or Kelvin in the dance-off because BBC" and you weren't wrong. It's Karim in the dance off and I can't believe it. Ridiculous!!
So before they dance I will say bye bye Saffron. I HOPE!!
