He wrote and recorded many songs... though the only one I remember well is the one shown above...

Yes I looked at that...none rang a bell really. However ..'Where did you go to my lovely' was iconic at the time and easily recognisable

To be honest he was only really remembered for the one song and very similar to his brother Richard who performed under the name of Eden Kane. RIP

Beautiful song still played today on the local WMC jukebox ... one of my dear heart dad's favourites ... Eden Kane was one of my favourites too but @jonsie I didn't know he was the brother of Peter Sarstedt

There were quite a few solo singers around that time. As well as the above, there was Mark Wynter and Shane Fenton (he later became Alvin Stardust and unfortunately died in 2014) to name but two.
