Hello! I'm going to New Zealand tomorrow and a friend told me I need to let O2 know so that they enable my roaming then that way I can still use my phone! How do I do this as I can't seem to contact them? Is there a way I can do this online rather than on the phone?

Contacting O2 for contract is 202 and payg is 4445

Tips : Use wifi when and where you can and turn off mobile data to stop any accidental connection to their network. Turn off voicemail too before leaving the Uk.

It is very expensive so be careful.
Data is esp bad so use wifi and keep 3g off at all times.
Also dial 1760 to turn off voicemail before you go as this can incur roaming charges too. (1750 when back home turns it on again).

If you're going to be in New Zealand for any considerable length of time, if your phone is unlocked, you should think about using a local sim instead of the O2 sim. This would be useful if you're making calls, sending texts, or using data within New Zealand. For contacting friends or family back in the UK, you might use Skype or Whatsapp, or Viber.
