He made a great Goblin King in the Peter Jackson telling of A Hobbit's Tale, as well as a great Bruce, the wannabe vegetarian shark, in Finding Nemo.

And lots of other roles too, possums!

Sad news.

I remember being in front row for his live show in Birmingham in 80s when, as Dame Edna, he threw a "gladdy" to my then girlfriend.
