for Goodnight Mr Tom and The Naked CIvil Servant.

Very sad.  I love Goodnight Mr Tom, it makes me cry every time I watch it.  He also worked on Kavanagh QC which was one of my favourite programmes.

 

(As you can probably tell I'm a big John Thaw fan!)

He also did a documentary back in 1964 which was totally brilliant. Called 'Death in the Morning' and was about fox hunting.It featured a pursuit sequence as seen and heard and suffered by the fox. It won him the first of his three Bafta awards. It was the one single programme that highlighted the suffering of foxes in this so called sport...

He worked occasionally on Inspector Morse as well @Anonymous wink

I loved Morse as well!  I've never been keen on the books as they were so different to the TV series and for me, John Thaw was Morse.
