This is one of the most iconic album covers of all time:

SgtPepper-1-crop.jpg

The challenge is to name the people in this picture.

The rules:

1. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr are featured so do not mention them

2. Each poster can only name only one person in each post and can only post once a day

       - to give others a chance

3. I will confirm, the next day or as soon as possible, if the poster is correct

Good luck

Results for entries posted Friday 1 March 2019:

Judy Garland - @Glory1 - incorrect

Bobby Breen - @MI5 - correct

for previous entries - correct and incorrect - see page 8

Thanks guys for taking part.

I can understand that it has not been easy and that some have exhausted their guesses...

In fairness to everyone - as some may wish to continue guessing and/or have been/will be away from the Community over the weekend and or during week, I am keepimg the Picture Challenge open until at least Friday 8 February 2019.

Everyone can post one guess per post per day.

This is your thread and I think it should be your decision.

Please post whether or not you wish the Picture Challenge to close on Friday 8 February 2019.

I will abide by the majority decision and if the majority decision is to close it, I will post the missing answers later that day.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you who has submitted an entry and am impressed with your knowledge and interest and hope that you have all enjoyed taking part.

Please feel free to post any questions or comments.

Regards

@Mi-Amigo

Just for info in future, you would have had time to edit your post stating February.

The forum allows 90 minutes to edit.

So, from the time you posted, I replied and you responded to me, there was plenty of time to go back and edit.

(Obviously no chance now but useful info for the future) wink

Thank you.

I was aware of the edit option but did not know it allowed 90 minutes for edit. Duly noted.

Despite my crass stupidity over the date and inability not to correct my error in my post, I hope that members will still consider whether or not they wish this thread to continue or close.

Thank you.

I'm going to have a long hard look at the picture again and see if I can dredge up any other names.

So stick with it. wink

Good to hear @Cleoriff

To help everyone, here are a few hints

Check out those mentioned on page 8;

Apart from one obscured figure already guessed; and one mentioned on page 8; there is one other obscured figure. He is not easy to make out and is behind the right shoulder of the real John Lennon (according to the souces I have used, he should have been more prominent, but was obscured by the camera angle).

Some (not all) of the wrong guesses appear to be "mistaken identity" (wrong guess looks like a person in the picture).

Thank you everyone who took part.

I am now working on a key to the picture with all of the answers, which I will post shortly, together with who identified the right answers.
