O2 Community v Facebook

Time for a debate people.

My question is this. Should threads on o2 Community have a reasonable connection to o2?

There has been another batch of Facebook style threads start recently. Is o2 Community the right place?

We will never get full agreement on this topic,  opinions are like the proverbial, everyone has one. We are all individuals but but the consensus of opinion wold appear to be against this being turned into a Facebook clone.

I'm presuming those 'for' have a Facebook,  Twitter,  Instagram and other social sites as a way of communicating stimulating conversation without the need for other avenues of enquiring as to people's choice of underwear, toothpaste and mind-numbing choice of vegetables.
