I've just received this very convincing scam, so thought I'd post it as a warning to others.

The link takes you to a fake RM website which looks very genuine.

The ultimate goal is to get your credit card details.

The giveaways are the sender name and the .top domain but all other info is convincing to the unaware.

Thanks for this @MI5.

These scams are increasing daily and are very sophisticated!

Like you, I always check the domain address before going further.

Another one I have had in 3 days, is an automated voice telling me 'fraud has been committed on my bank account' (Disconnect call and check both banks!)

I've had that one, and if the customer is expecting a parcel they can easily be fooled.

Royal Mail don't use the word 'warehouse' they tend to say Depot.

Also why Safari browser?

Both of those set alarm bells ringing with me

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Not iPhone specific, @jonsie. it's a worldwide scam. Have had numerous texts in the US from USPS instead of Royal Mail. They also use the .top domain and sometimes .usp'z'.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Is this iPhone specific?

Thanks for the headsup @MI5

Sent from an iCloud account via iMessage so was specific to iPhone, also by mentioning Safari.

I guess they have variations when sending to other types of devices.

 I had this Royal Mail scam this morning by email saying;

Royal mail-info

Missed delivery

We attempted a delivery..

blah blah

thanks for posting this here @MI5

I also get fairly regular "we missed you " your parcel is ready etc. DPD or similar.   I  delete it all.

As @gmarkj suggested. Good to add to scam info.

I know that if I missed a delivery especially with Royal Mail they leave an official card to organise some method of getting parcel and/or collecting with ID at depot.

Stay alert and safe it is certainly difficult 😡
