Channel 4 has taken over the terrestrial viewing for Formula 1 after BBC opted out of the contract.

I love F1 and am a bit dubious as to how successful this will be. However they have stated there will be no adverts during race time (thank god)

Yesterday they officially revealed the presenting team......

David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Alain Prost, Alex Zanardi, Susie Wolff, Karun Chandhok, Eddie Jordan and Bruno Senna; alongside seasoned live presenters and journalists Steve Jones, Ben Edwards and Lee McKenzie.

It also says Guy Martin will be making appearances

All 4 wheels need to be over the thick white line which marks the track limits. The red rumble strips are not part of the track limits.

So provided at least one wheel is on the tarmac side of the thick white line then no penalty will be incurred.

{Quote}Drivers will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with it and, for the avoidance of doubt, any white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.{Unquote}

This will end up being like Wimbledon using Hawk-Eye to determine whether any part of the tyre was on the line !!!!

They already have sensors in the track surface so any off limits are automatically caught by the system.
