It is 2018, The year of the Halo... Like it or hate it, it will be implemented as part of new FIA rules
None of the 2018 cars have been revealed yet (that happens in February) but this is how it will look
Most drivers' aren't keen but are having to toe the party line...

Well every other driver on the grid is white. Except Lewis
They called him Scimmia (which means monkey) So it was nothing to do with Brexit @jonsie
It was to do with the colour of his skin and of course the fact he whupped the ass of Vettel. They were like football 'fans' anyway. Once they realised Vettel wasn't going to get on that podium a lot of them left the stadium. So not true F1 fans at all.

It's official
Charles Leclerc replaces Kimi Raikkonen at Ferrai next season. Kimi will go to Sauber in a straight swap and where he started his F1 career

So it's Singapore F1 this weekend. Great. A circuit which brings everything. Heat, humidity and rain.
It tends to be a track which, in the past has favoured Ferrari and Red Bull. Except last year.
Vettel, Verstappen and Raikkonen took the the first 3 positions after Qualifying. Hamilton was down in 5th
Then this happened when the lights went out at the start...
Just notice the Silver Arrow of Lewis Hamilton sneaking round the outside, avoiding all the mayhem and going on to win....
It's Practice 1 at 9.30am today, P2 at 1.30am and it's looks like rain is forecast...

Qualifying 1 a big risk from Mercedes. Lewis said his tyres wouldnt do another hot lap, He was right. Ultimately finished in 13th. Very nearly out of Q1. Phew
Q2 ready to start. Holding my breath. Ferrari and Red Bulls looking good. So far no sign of rain....
I think Merc will end up on the 3rd row...

How wrong was I? Lewis just blew them all away...what a final lap.... #hammertime

As for Lewis getting pole today, it's currently being touted as his best pole ever....
Not too happy that Mad Max 'Crashtappen' is in 2nd though....
He was involved in that crash of the season (above) last year....

It was quite a boring race for those who aren't fans of Mercedes and Lewis.....but he needed to stay out of trouble on the first bend. He did, but the midfield drivers didn't... so as expected there was a pile up...No one was hurt and Lewis just carried on with a masterful drive.
When he is on form he is unbeatable. Proud to be British...
