Yesterday was the 46th anniversary of the first moon landing. It should not go unnoticed.

Exactly. I could also say I love Professor Brian Cox....so find it quite easy to echo his sentiments

Hard to believe the first human flight in space was in 1961.

I remember it clearly
I was at my family home in Kippax, West Yorkshire
in the living room with my mum, dad & sister
I was sitting in 'the little rocker' (rocking chair) of the 'cottage suite' in that room
all the family had been eagerly following NASA's flight to the moon ... the landing ... the time spent on the moon ... blast off back ... & ... re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere
Sooooo glad I was around to appreciate it all
I'd be a young teenager, very impressive it all was

That was 1969 @Anonymous
I lived in Kippax for a few years, from 1994 to 2001.
