From 1/1/2025 Lewis Hamilton became a Ferrari driver.
The Ferrari media team released a very clever post.
Note the time it was posted. 16.44. 16 is Charles Leclerc's race number and 44 is Lewis Hamiltons number. (they are now team mates). Interesting to note that Mercedes have lost just under a million followers and Ferrari have gained over a million.
With all his farewell commitments to Mercedes, Lewis has not tested in last years Ferrari. (All new drivers did a test run in Abu Dhabi.) It's understood, he will be testing in Marinello, Italy, later this month.
A lot to learn. New car, new steering wheel, new team, new race engineer and new language.
Personally, I'm not expecting him to do that well initially. Only time will tell.
* F1 live at the O2 Arena London. February
* Pre- Season Testing in Bahrain 26th-28th February.
* 1st Race - Australia Friday March 14th-Sunday 16th March.

What a mess at the start. Max did a dive bomb sent Lewis off. Lewis was deemed to rejoin and gain and advantage. Given a 10 second penalty. Max was not penalised for that or another infringement. Leclerc also went off and gained an advantage over LH but Ferrari wern't going to fight that.
What a drive for Ollie Bearman who came 4th.

Such unfair treatment for Lewis and it robbed him of a possible podium.
It completely wrecked his race and I really felt for him
But well done Lando though the VSC ruined an exciting race behind him

10 seconds penalty for Lewis. Nothing for Charles who pushed LH off track and never gave the place back. Nothing for Max for pushing LH and one other off track.
Either give all 5secs on don't give any at all. Pathetic stewarding.
Of course Ferrari were never going to ask CL to give the place back to LH but we watched all incidents on the Skypad post race and both Max and Charles should have been penalised. Total bias.

The stewards explanation re Hamiltons penalty.
Maybe if Ferrari had told Hamilton to give the place back to Max, this never would have happened.
However, it's quite obvious to me that Ferrari have NO interest in Hamilton, only Leclerc.

Lewis was just a marketing ploy for Ferrari
He has now served his purpose as far as they are concerned
He needs to get the hell out of Dodge....

I've said this for the last 6 months @jonsie. Ferrari let him down massively yesterday. Had they ordered Charles to give the place back to Hamilton on turn 1 (as they should have done) when CL barged him off track (Hamilton was ahead), then LH would never have been in the place for Max to barge him off track.
One of the stewards was Dutch so Max was never going to get a penalty for his TWO infringements.
Also Ferrari should have told LH IMMEDIATELY to give the place back to Max (after he scooted over the grass), there would have been no penalty then. But no, they didn't want him to be anywhere near their golden boy!
Also, by not penalising Max, they are setting up the final races for an Abu Dhabi showdown
